Thank you Ralf! Over wide parts a Tamiya glue, but CA-glue as well.

I really like the Tamiya extra thin since the first time I tried it. Thanks for the info!

This one will Go into the Me321 I guess… I was planning the same with the Me323 but on hold, not enough space to display it on a base ?

That's right, it's to help illustrate the size of the Me-321. In fact, it's already a massive piece!

Looks really good already! Just out of curiosity, is there a reason to paint the parts on the sprues?

Thanks for the encouragement, Es-haq, Dave and Patrick! About the question: on one hand on a whim, on the other hand, before I start assembling the very tricky parts and the complex assembly, I want to have everything "finished" painted. After that, I wouldn't get around to it

Alright! Thanks for your answer Roland! I'm always very afraid that I get glue smears or have the glue eat into the paint and for that reason try to completely assemble everything that needs the same color before committing to paint. Looking at how intricate this FAMO is and how the tracks and wheels are such complicated affairs I can only imagine that doing it this way gets you to have paint and weathering applied in all the unreachable areas and you basically 'accept' any glue risks in the grand scheme of things. 🙂

Here the Me 321's cargo is nearing a certain degree of completion. Here, too, the signs of use are somewhat enhanced, although I do not want to overdo it with this model in particular, as I have read that the coveted "Famo" were the company's darlings and were cherished accordingly.

The Famo is coming together nicely. I'll be interested to see how the tracks for....they look fiddly for my inexperienced fingers... !

Hi Bruce, now i can already say: they worked wonderfully! The chain links could be placed precisely into each other, followed the curves well and look quite good as a final product to my equally inexperienced eyes. I will post some pictures of the result soon!

Looking forward, Roland 🙂 The tracks always seem to define how the vehicle 'sits' and its 'presence'.... I'm glad to hear they went smoothly for you. I'm tempted to look out for this kit, but have to confess that I didn't make a neat job of previous attempts at 'link and length' tracks....

Thank you both! I understand very well what you are talking about, Bruce. I hope the following pictures can help you decide how to proceed with your own half-track project. Please bear in mind that I am a complete novice in this field.

Now the Famo, a "little" excursion into vehicle construction, is done! You can see the model in three loading states: the first pictures show the Famo built out of the box. Revell has made things very easy and comfortable even for me, an inexperienced track model builder. In the other pictures you can see an increasing amount of load, canopy etc. This comes from a kit from "Black Dog" and should bring some life into the Famo.
Well, now everything is ready to be loaded into the Me-321 Gigant, I would say!

Wow, the cargo and canopies really bring it to life. Even how you painted the helmets adds lots to the finished composition ?

Thank you for your kind feedback mates - that makes me very happy and motivates me a lot!

Great outcome of a very rare technique! 👍 I might try this myself one day. 🤔

Ralf, Tom, Mirko: your answers are really just motivating - thank you!

Fantastic result. Top building and painting job. The Black Dog set gives you a superior plus.
See you at the Giant. Congrats!

Not what I am used to see from you, Roland, but an outstanding build. I happened to see one in real, and they are big monsters. Yours looks exactly what I saw 2 years ago. Well done, mate

Your comments motivate and delight, thank you mate! It's not that I'm constantly building on "chain", but, I must say, it has its charm!
