Holger KranichTill Valhall!!! Looks like the bow of the Oseberg ship. Will you add a dark wash to the wooden planking?

Kees KleijwegtHolger, there already is a (light) wash over the planking. In 'real life' it's a bit darker than in the photo.
And I'm afraid that if I add another, the contrast between figure and base will be to large.
Choppa, I thought about that ocean too, but that wouldn't be quite right. With an ocean base, the ship would be too deep in the water for a viking ship.
And by not doing the base, I can focus on painting 🙂
Anyhow, it is indeed a great sculpt, thanks to the guys at Nocturna models! 👍

so it looks like he is standing on the bow of a sinking ship 🙂

i did not know Nocturna models. they have some really nice figures

Kees KleijwegtSo why not take the jump Erik? A whole new modeling world to explore with new techniques and other stuff.
There are also a lot of cool larger scale pilot figures on the market, to keep it in your comfort zone 😉
And by the way, every time I see one of your plane builds it makes me want to build a plane kit.
Now that you mention it, there's a P-51b trying to crawl out of my stash 🙂🙂
