U.S.S. Reliant

The AMT 1/537 (or 1/650 depending on who you ask) USS Reliant. I am making a Battle of Mutara Nebula scene. I will be building the Enterprise next. The idea is that it will be behind it and just blasted the long range sensor pod and in the process of blasting the port nacelle. That is why the nacelle is hanging like that, it is in the process of being blown off the pylon. The sensor pod is just smolering, no fire and just a little smoke. After all, it is space and no oxygen. What little you see is just oxygen from inside that is burning off. All the ports/windows I drilled out myself. No lighting kit, just used LEDs and make it myself. For the overall interior lighting I had a 18-inch LED strip wrapped around inside. Running lights, safetly lights, shuttle bay interior and docking lights I ran in sets of 4 (3 volts each, 4 in series to make 12 volts) and then paralleld all the different sets. The plasma flash for the nacelle blowing was done with a couple of 12 volt LED indicator lights. For the shuttle bays, I sprayed gloss clear on them and then hair spray while it was still wet. I was trying to make it appear like bay opening force fields. After I am finished with the Enterprise, I will post better pictures. I need to make a good, black backdrop for them.
