I've always been very fond of three-engine aircraft. They exude such a special personal charm and elegance. In this case, it's all enhanced by the floats.
I will follow your build with great interest 👀

I have to agree with Ludvik, the three engine and h-tail aircraft just seem to personify that classic age of flight after WWI through the end of WWII.

Dear Daniel, I've just read your review (useful to test my Deutsch understanding 🙂 ) and I totally agree with you: "Also bis jetzt hat sich der Kauf auch wenn man den alten Bausatz von Supermodell sein Eigen nennt gelohnt." 🙂
PS for the clear parts, there is this option: Italy (Part 2) (Falcon 23, 1:72)

Nice aircraft, no doubt ! The Italeri version is slightly different (and better !) than the original Supermodel, but some problems remain. This is not very fresh to my memory, but there might be a problem of shape with the horizontal or vertical stabilizer and with the wings engines's location, but it may originate in Ali d'Italia's plan and i haven't spent enough time to be affirmative on those points. The Lanciani's turret is correct, don't trust the scheme published by Ali d'Italia... The overall shape must be corresponding to the aircraft preserved at Vigna del Valle. Sadly, i cannot join the "maybe" groupbuild unless fitting floats to the Junkers G.24 which is on my workbench... Good luck !

Hi Mates and warm welcome again!
The built is still like an older short run. It is not a shake and bake for sure!
But mates does anyone know waht is the correct name and perhaps anyone has a link to the specifications of this type of crane?

Hi Moreno,
Thank you mate! Those beam cranes were only used at Elmas harbour Cagliari Sardegna! Found some orig pictures!
~ 25m in height and the beam had a diameter of~ 2m!
So a simple conic wooden device handle cut to 33,5cm as main beam will do 👍

Great mate! I was able to find something about the crane in Vigna di Valle, but it was different. If you were already able to find some information about those in Elmas it's perfect!
Great start, as usual!

In Spain we had these other cranes of German origin for the Do.24 of the Air Rescue Service. I couldn't find out the name of these big cranes:

Daniel, I'm glad the project has already started. I guess that means you're feeling better 🙂

Hi Mates!
@Cuajete yeah slowly it developes in the right direction 🙂
Here are some pics. I also have a good book with many pics but in the end you will not see much of it despite of the main canopy.
The overall fit is rather meh, and you definetly remark while building it, that the tool is 50 years old.
The modular parts are really hard to implement into the fuselage without big gaps for example.
A lot of styrene, sanding and putty was needed.

The crane had a Load capacity of about 12t! ANd i hope the balance weights, which i put into the floaters front will do.🙂 The Cranes base will be turnable and the wires will be movable to.
@Cuajete thanky mate and those are 32mm diameter washers with a 5mm hole. 4 of them glued together. The Bracket is scratched and all is screwd into the boom.

As many have stated already, this is really impressive and a great job. It will make a nice display where ever you find the space to keep it displayed.
Question - the dock, could you explain a bit on it's construction. I have a sub that I'd like to show next to a dock and yours look great.

That was my idea with a little hole. I have not used it yet, but it is not liquid but made from little balls which "flow".
Please see the review on the product page (my link), there is a video which shows the material and the usage. The Zinnfiguren shop (also linked there) has also this video.
A comment says this are steel shot used for abrasive blasting, so may be you can found this easier.

What a pity, I had hoped to have a look at the model and talk to the builder after a loooong time, but a nasty virus had other plans.

Thank you Marcel Lukasz and Moreno! It is not finished just a bit of fooling around with the figures. Luigi the big cook is already waiting for action 🙂
I decided to do the Cart for Land transport also by scratch evergreens just arrived.
Also i will hang the plane a littler bit lower cause i believe they only put the Aircrafts as high as necessary.
@Frank, yes it is absolutely annoying. Think i catched both influenca and covid at the same time. It is much better since Tuesday morning.
Still a bit of a headache and dripping nose, but no coughing o fever anymore.
The ballast is already added yes. Still a bit tailsitting but that is ok for me.

Small suggestion for improvement: Shouldn't the transport trolley be within the swing radius of the crane?

Hi Jens, yes that would make sense although the Cart was movable with steerable wheels. 🙂

Another step closer to the finish line! The Airone is well balanced on the hook.
And after a bit of research about the trolley color, i found this pic! So i have to change the windows to sliding canopy. Well should be no problem.

This is stunning work, Daniel. How did you secure the attachment points so that it can support the weight of the plane?

Hi MAtes, thank you very much David, Villiers and HSC for your kind comments. Iam growing with every word🙂
@HSC: I secured the attachement points by drilling two small holes to every point and sank two heated half loop from the underside to the wing roots.
Then i welded the upper loops to the half loope coming through the plastic. That should last for decades🙂

Well, Daniel, I can only say that when we met here a couple of years ago, I saw your SM 82 and thought that a CANT Z 506 would be a perfect combination.
Now I can see that, and you also realised a superlative diorama.
What else? I think it's one of the best build I saw around since a long time!

A truly unique work. Everything fits together perfectly. Diorama tells a story that draws the viewer into the action. I really like it. 👍👍👍

Wow... What an incredible construction, Daniel. The handwork of the detailed crane is fantastic (it even supports the weight of the Cant Z. in a balanced way!), as well as the rest of the dock, the final result of the plane, the figures and the magnificent cart made from scratch. I am perplexed by what my eyes have been able to see. I'm sorry I haven't been able to see the progress of the last few months, but this way I've been able to avoid the desire to see it finished soon 😄
The photo perspectives are very good. This diorama has to be huge. You improve yourself by leaps and bounds over time. I love it!
Congrats!

humbling, very humbling. I love the crane and it makes for a creative and original diorama. All the attention to detail you put into this has paid off the result is brilliant.

Thank you all very much mates for your absolute fantastic feedback and your patience throughout this built!
It really was fun and with all of your encouraging words and hints, i am quite satisfied with the result too. And so i chose to do another this kind but this time with a
RAF Flying boat by Matchbox 🙂
Once again thank you all for your very nice comments mates @Cuajete very happy you like it ! Hope everythings alright!?
I really very much appreciate them.

This is lovely, made me laugh that everyone is more interested in the diorama than the model.😂😃😂 , but what a diorama , brilliant.
Quick question about how you did the "marbling" on the plane ( photos 30 and 31) ?
