A lot of time and energy has also been invested in this Tornado to achieve this current state of the surfaces: as already mentioned, the Revell kit has a few surprises in store. Now, however, an end to this rather arduous stage is also in sight for this Tornado!

A few pictures of the progress of the future "pink" coloured Tornado: the next step after this hefty preshading will be a fine sanding over, then the first layers of the pink desert camouflage paint will be applied.

Thank you mate!
My English is slowed down by my knowledge of the language and by decency, so only one word: grotty! I have rarely held a worse kit in my hands, please have a look at the construction photos in this report! (Now there have become a few more words...)

May be that is the reason why the German Air Force replaces the (Revell) Tornado by the (Tamiya) F-35 😄 😄 😄

If only! Thank you mates! You can see the first coat of Gunze H44/H310 here. I used a disproportionate amount of the darker brown shade. In the next sprays I want to go lighter and more intensely pink, with the shades of the base always contributing.

Once more sanding, pre-shading and applying a new layer - this is how the surface should remain until the decals are applied. Of course, it will then be further modified, namely by a decent washing and dirtying...

Now all the "Print Scale" decals are up that I wanted to apply - and a few from the original Revell kit too, of course. Here you can see the model freshly decaled, still without any sealing, which should be done tomorrow/the day after tomorrow.

Thank you both!
What I will still like to try is one of the new Italeri Tornados in 1:32. RSAF would be interesting and possible, just because of the camouflage, but an Italian machine- in flight- is a more likely choice for me.

Looks clean and well made so far, so you did a good job with the construction. Looking forward to all the weathering, the base color is already quite nice 👍

Thanks Alexander, I'm glad the colour tone and general build condition appeals!

After washing and deepening the panel lines, the end is now beginning to look in sight: the surfaces are so far finished, now comes the not inconsiderable number of antennas and sensors on the fuselage - next to the flaps and the landing gear covers.

It is done, the beast is in the stable.... And it wasn't easy to do that with this messed-up Revell kit. Now I'm just happy to have found an ending that I can live with. With the extra effort I put in, I actually created a quite photogenic appearance. I took two series of photos today, as both the pictures in the Tornado's "natural habitat" and those against a neutral background reveal specific qualities of the model. I hope you will forgive me for the certain flood of pictures that resulted from this!

Amazing result and I agree, quite photogenic! 👍
Do you have any tips and tricks to handle the Revell kit?

Thank you all for your kind welcome to the completed "Granby" Tornado! I really very much appreciate your words.
Alexander, for tips on building I would refer you to the pictures and accompanying text of this build report. The pitfalls and peculiarities of this kit are too numerous for me to summarise them now. However, the pictures, especially from the beginning of the build, should be able to provide information about the relevant tips.

Three pictures to finish off: I have now extended "Mig Killer" with a FLIR pod under the left chin as well as a position light on the back of the fuselage- not forgetting the front sides of the nose wheel landing gear doors extended with the fragments of the shark's teeth! Well, now it's really done.
