Nice start! Looks like there will be not much left of the Esci kit.

Following! For a conversion set it doesn't need much from the parent kit XD

Got to watch this - I love the F-8 in all its shapes and forms! And what a conversion project.

ESCI's cockpit is poorly equipped with just 4 components, so I replaced the ejection seat and the joystick, added a pilot and also used Eduard's photo-etched parts

Lots to do with Cyanoacrylate, Liquid Surface Primer Tamiya 87096 and Vallejo Plastic Putty because of the many inaccuracies 🙁

After priming in FS17875 white, the masking followed, the next step is painting in FS16440 light gull gray and designing the anti-glare protection in front of the cockpit and the camera in front of the front landing gear in FS37038 overall flat black.

An unpleasant déjà vu like with the Northrop F-20 Tigershark "Demonstrator". Not only that the distances on the decal sheet are very small, unfortunately they also tend to crumble when removed in water that is no longer lukewarm

Luckily, with foresight, I had a full-size backup copy of the decals ( RVHP 1:72 No. 7263 Vought RF-8A F8U-1P Crusader ) scanned in and printed out in color on a paper sheet so that I could replace decals that were no longer usable.

Such a pity on the decals, I feel you pain! Are you planning on printing your own or will you hunt for third party decals? By the way, what a beautifully organized workspace, picture 55 is a very satisfying view (at least for me with a slight OCD).
