This thing is absolutely enormous! Possibly the only kit I have that's bigger is the Monogram B-36 Peacemaker. 26February 4, 2024Rotors all built, here's a quick test fit to see how she looks. 27February 7, 2024I took 404 our for a day of sprey priming today, seems to have gone well.. 28February 7, 2024Seems aren't as bad as they were around the cockpit now! 29February 10, 2024I took the plunge with the 1 thing I was more worried about than the sheer size! THE NOSE!!! 30February 10, 2024Props painted. 31February 11, 2024So I built and finishes the "refueling" probe but I noticed that it's just a blank almost like the broom handles they used in the B-25 Mitchell on the Doolottke Raid! 32February 11, 2024I "borrowed" a probe end from one of my New Tool Airfix Harrier GR.9 33February 11, 2024And I think it looks very much like the real thing! 34February 11, 2024Close enough for me 🙂 35February 19, 2024The final test fit. 36February 27, 2024All that needs doing on the fuselage is to add the main Gear doors and door. 37February 27, 2024Last painting done and decals to the upper wing surfaces. 38February 28, 2024404 has been towed out of the paintshop atlast. 39February 27, 2024Now to finish the rotor blades. 40March 1, 2024Masking these Beasts is very tedious! 41March 3, 2024Painting the propellers..... 42March 3, 2024Final decals. 43March 3, 2024And she's finished! 44March 3, 2024The tail should have Orange on but Revell's decal is red so I decided HHrA painted it Red for...reasons.... 45March 3, 2024I think 404 looks pretty nice! 46March 3, 2024I'm still going to try and get some flags for the front of the fuselage. 47March 3, 2024Another angle. 48March 3, 2024She now officially joins HHrA's Transport fleet! 49March 3, 2024Just a decent head on shot showing off the detailed propeller blades.
