Original intention to build as A-97 - one of the two Storch used for the rescue from the Gauli Gletscher in 1947 - had to be abended as the aftermarket Skiset from Kora Models represented the late style ski's.
Therefore this model was built as A-98, a Storch from the Luftwaffe which landed on 19th March 1943 in Samedan in Switzerland and was later bought from Germany. The model represents A-98 in it's last days before crashlanding in the Swiss mountains on 20th July 1948.
A-98 was a Fi 156 C-3/trop built by Morane Saulnier in Puteaux, W.Nr. 1144/1943. Different to my model the original was equipped with the tailskid and not the tailwheel.

You have written: "Different to my model the original was equipped with the tailskid and not the tailwheel." The kit contains 3 part for the tail: skid, wheel and ski. So it should be easy to replace (if not glued very strong).
If you lost it, I cannot offer mine, as the A-99 need also the skid.
