I always loved that body design - my brother gave me the "Yankee" kit as a preent and i defenitily wanted to build it as a coupe (the Convertible is since my childhood in the collection).
My three wishes?
- Of course white interior - i am a big fan of that
- shaker hood
- light blue (B5)

Some days ago, i work "btw" on the roof. Sanding, filling with putty, sanding and so on.
today a painted the first layer of filler to have a look where i have to work on before primer and basecolor painting.

Some progress of my Challenger.
i decided to use the flat hood also. perhaps to change instad of the shaker hood.
so, i filled the hole, some putty and a couple of sanding and filling...sanding...filling...
after i was fine with the result, i painted the body and all parts with light blue metallic.

Made some progress on this one.
Painted the interior carpet, enginebay andother parts black. Also the body became the final clear coat.

long time ago...the time is running.
I completed the interior and painted some parts "here and there". included the engine.
while i broke off a lot of drills i decided to let the engine without wiring.
At least, the body became the chrome. ready for finish 😉

I see you filled in the blower hole in the R/T hood. I had to do the same way back when when I built my R/T SE.
Back then, It was the only twin scoop hood that I was aware of.

I also see you have switched to a shaker hood.
I do not know if it is the photograph of my monitor but I think B5 blue is richer/darker than the color I see on your Challenger.

Dear Bill,
i switched the hood because of paint issues and sinkholes from the putty. i have not found the color i used...and it is correct: the color is brighter as wished 😉. Like your Challengers too!
Thanks JV 🙂

Wow...just forgot about this one . in the meantime it is ready, and i can't find the last pictures.
As the kit has only stupid wide wheels, i chooses some Wheels from 65 Mustang. The fit well and are not the last decision. perhaps, i find some better ones for him.

Always liked to build the Coupe from the 70s Challenger. I have the Convertible in my collection since i was a kit.
Three things i want: light blue, white interior and the shaker hood.
