Italeri 1247: Huey UH-1D
On the home straight. First time using Glue n Glaze and made a hash of it (not shown). Just need to touch up the paint a bit then finish the build and decals.
Happy to get that transparent green window done not too badly.
Difficult to see the weathering in these pics. General oil/dirt on the panel lines and behind the exhaust. Didn't want to over do it - it's not a tank!
Must be more careful with my glue n glaze. You can see the hash I made of the window on the left. The windscreen came out much better.
The side guns on all the Huey Italeris were a pain to glue. There were no guidelines on the 1D.
My yellow tips on the rotor were too thin. Here you can see my previous two (hand painted) UH-1B and UH-1C.
Yes part of the roof is meant to be black. Apologies! Hapy with the clear green skylights though.

Many thanks! I'm still very new to airbrushing. Hope to get the cockpit closed by the end of the weekend!

Many thanks for the kind words. Things kinda went to pot when I closed her up. Needed to do a bit of filling and didn't sand down sufficiently well so the final paint job on the roof isn't great. I am still very new to all of thing so am learning all the time. Pics to follow.
