Rui, I used the Andrea flesh paint set for the skin tones and Vallejo for everything else. Except for the gold, for that I used Gunze metal color gold.

Erik, indeed it's from a movie. Master and Commander - far side of the world.
But trying to get the skintones right and to create likeness with a real person at the same time is a bridge too far for now. Captain 'Lucky' Jack is played by Russell Crowe.

Well done, Kees!👍 The likeness with the real person depends much more on the sculptor's work than on the painting - just have a look at my Ripley...

@Rui: I primed with the grey primer from Zero Paints, one of my favorite brands of paint. Next time I will try the black and white priming method
@Ulf: Thanks mate, I guess you're right about the sculpting. But the "sad" thing is the model really had some resemblance with mr. Crowe. That likeness is now buried under my painting! 🙂🙂
