Wow Dimitris. It's getting a great Heli. The transparencies you've painted with vitral ink??? The pre shading makes all the difference. Watching closely!!!! 😉

Leandro, thanx again 🙂 I used Tamiya's Clear Green (X-25) and for those under the pilots feet, a mix of Smoke and Clear Yellow (X-19+X-24 5:1 ratio) and after that a very light mist of Tan (XF-55) on the inside.
It is not only the preshade, but also the light postshade technic I used for the outcome. Update soon

This stuff of Pre and post shade is the kind of stuff you think that will not work the first time you do. But when you do, it makes all the diference.

Thanx Nikolajs! Leandro you should try post shade, just to see if it works for you.
So, slow progress this w/e. I applied Hueys few decals, 9 in number. I still soaking them in MicroSol, while the film is still visible! Arghhhhh%#%#$
Weathering will be the next step. Stay tuned!

Thank you Clifford 🙂
So, my first heli took its place on my display stand. It was fun to built, dispite various issues of the kit (especially the clear parts which are a pain to fit)
Hope you like it. More and better pics, soon (when I get back my tripod and photobooth I lent to a friend a month ago 😛 )

Nice chopper! I like the paintjob, it's well-weathered.
Clear parts sometimes is a pain, I agree. BTW, I found one of solution how to "hide" frame traces. I apply mask on both sides of the window, leaving only the frame border and paint it with black or model base color. Black (or dark gray) is better, cause it will simulate rubber color.. After that you remove masks and get nice dark frame. BTW, this is well-know approach for car builders for car lights 🙂 How you can use this in the future
