I used Testors Metalizers, Buff-able Aluminum for most of it, stainless steel for the tanks and slats, and Titanium for the engine area. The slight shade difference on the wings was done by spraying that panel black before painting the aluminum.

Hello, I didn't find any review about it, can you tell me how was the kit to build?
It's a nice job you did.

The only thing unusual about the build was the main landing gear, the instructions are a little un-clear and I believe either the gear legs are molded wrong or the instructions are wrong because one of the small gear doors is shown to rest on a small peg that sticks out of the gear leg but the door is in back of the gear leg and the peg is on the front of the leg. I hope that makes sense.
The rest of the kit wasn't must of a problem, I wanted the main gear doors to be open more but I broke it and had to settle for half way. The wing fit really well sandwiched between the upper and lower fuselage. I have read that the tanks are not long enough for the F-100s that served in Vietnam but that didn't bother me.
I also used the F-102 style nozzle used by ANG F-100s because it looks better to me. Thanks to all for the complements.

Album info
This is my Revell 1/48 F-100, I used Testors Metalizers for the finish and a few photo etch parts in the cockpit that can't really be seen (oh well).
