Just starting this one and while checking for info on the various decal options found web site 'modelingmadness.com/..us/usn/garf4uwma.htm' which has a lot of detail on each F2G produced. Not all agreed so more research needed. I might opt for '9 Black (14691)' as seen in the Wikipedia entry for the F2G.

The research goes on, just when you think you are done you find 'airrace.com/CorsairStatusList2.html' and the black 9 is blue.
