Hi Bernhard, I just started yesterday with this wonderful kit. Hope to build it in an similar way like you did even when it will not reach your painting quality. The engine compartment is outstanding!!!

@Sven;
I am quite overwhelmed by so much praise before lunch: thank you! I 'm sure you will have a lot of fun building this model. I recommend the review of Frank Richter on Modellversium. Frank discovered many errors I found too. Meanwhile I see why the rotor blades are too short. The fuselage is nearly 1 cm too short (especially in the area of pilot cabin & rotorgear-compartment). Wow!! You just saved me from having to research the History of Earth to find the color schemes on the R-1820l! Your's looks fantastic and I am going to unashamedly copy every brushstroke!
Thanks for letting look over your shoulder!

Based on a great kit by GalleryModels, I had fun building and detailing, especially the engine compartment. On the one hand, I wanted to show the engine, but then I did not want to spoil the helicopter´s silhouette, so I came up with the idea to make the doors movable.
