Album info
Bu 181 Bestmann - training and liaison aircraft flown in Germany in 1939. During the war it was produced in Germany (Bucker Bu 181) and after the war mainly in Czechoslovakia (Zlin Z-181).
SP-ASI (s/n 131B) was used in 1959-1962 by the Central Sanitary Aviation Team as a dispatch aircraft operating from the Warsaw-Goclaw airport. It is most likely ex. SP-ASL (s/n 131) refurbished by the District Aviation Workshops in Poznań around 1950 and used initially by the Silesian Aeroclub (hence the ASL registration) and later by the Warsaw Aeroclub.
The model is fairly straightforward, the fit of the parts (after removing the overfills) is decent. The glazing fits very well. The presented model is made almost straight from the box - only small wire elements were added (handles on the fuselage or wires at the wheels). The decals are based on a photo from the Civil Aircraft Register.
