This little kit goes swiftly and smooth together like a dream.
Despite of the underwing to fuselage behind the engine.
really well engineered and nice kits. A Pity that Academy did not extend their 72 line for nearly two decades

Daniel, I have this kit during more than 20 years old, but I not build it yet.
With the new SH releases I was thinking of changing it, but I will think again after seeing your build😉
Following!

The SH kits might be a bit more refined and have more detailed interiors, but Academy's crisp panel lines and flawless fit make this kit a very swift and uncomplicated build.

Thanks, Patrick 👍.
That's one of the reasons I'm thinking about it. Also because, among other things, I think the windshield is either incorrectly shaped or larger than it should. But it is true that Academy's one is more pleasant to build. I was able to check it when I built the P-51D.

I really the to color. Very nice! Whith that amount of details, I was sure it was a 1:48.

Very nice! Makes me wonder if I'll change my plans to build the SH and go to Academy...

Thank you Murad, Cuajete, James and Frank really glad you like the Result 👍
@Neil the Academy may lack in detail compared to the SH but i can recommend it as a flawless built.
But use the Decals from the SH kit 🙂
@Cuajete Thanky mate.. They are thick and stiff as sommon with Academy in that period. 🙂
But I had to use them because i had no alternative in my stash.
@Frank yap i need the same time for a simple 40 parts kit, as you for your orgiastic Stringbags 🙂

This is beautiful ! I had the honor of meeting Tex Hill in Houston back in 2000, probably one of the greatest men I have ever met in my life ! He was the last Flying Tiger and a P-40 Ace !
