The red color -over a base of yellow- is preparing the "shark-tooth" which are decals from the kit.

I skipped a few steps in the construction report - and there it is, the early BF 109D with the striking denture adjustment.
All in all a complex little model, which was a lot of fun and challenge. I am proud, if I may say so, of the small cone-shaped antenna insulators, which I made from putty that I pressed into the right shape with my fingertips.

I missed this, somehow. I also have this kit in my stash, but I plan to do Legion Condor. It looks very similar to the AMG kit. Your build is beautiful, congratulations! 👍

The kit is wonderful, just make sure that the wheels are close enough and at the right angle to the undercarriage leg - mine is unfortunately a bit far away 🙂
