The area at the wing root was first chipped with lighter colors than the basecoat using a piece of sponge. The bare metal scratches were made with a silver Prismacolor pencil.

The photos are a little distracting imo. If you move the camera outwards and zoom in, you will get a more natural perspective in the photos you take.
When I took photo of a couple of 1:350 submarines, I tried to make the perspective more flat, keeping the camera away as far as possible on a tripod, maybe 1 m away, to try make it look like the spectator was looking at the submarines from an aircraft some distance away.
