Now, that is a change of subject. Anxious to see what you make out of it. 🙂

I'd love to see a regular version of this, with the rusted wheel arches and dented bumpers. Back in the late 70's, early 80's, this car was the most popular choice, for the teenage Brit. They needed more bodywork, than Cher!

The ScaleProduction extras are more expensive than the Italeri kit itself!

Nice Daniel.Thought the rear leaf springs would have had a little bit more bend.Looks as though they are under load.

From memory, David, the rear end of the escort, was always a bit low, and definitely sloppy? But maybe these rally versions had slightly uprated suspension, causing the front to look a tad higher? I certainly remember mine fishtail a few times, but back in them days, I drove it, like I'd stole it! I nearly had my hands on a MK1 Mexico, once. No engine, but the body was perfect. Loved those flared arches. It even had the roll cage! I'd dread to think, how much that would be now? It was £100 at the time 😮

Way back when as an apprentice we had half a dozen ex Police Escorts to play with at college.

Daniel, that stance looks pretty much correct, from my memory? I'm sure that Munky would have something to add?
However, I'm loving how this build is coming along, and it brings back so many memories. Excellent work buddy, and may the decals gods, shine in your favour 100%

Hi Daniel, yep Boz is pretty much bang on the money there……. the solid rear axles on Mk1 & Mk2 Escorts had very stiff multilleaf competition springs with the bias toward rear weight distribution to maximise traction.
That coupled with the extra travel of the front coil springs & struts necessary to cope with intense terrain gives that classic arse down, nose up stance that looks so Kool 😎
