Build Photos: Agricultural Tractor D8500
1October 7, 2021The modeling bench is cleaned and I'm excited to start this new project.
2October 11, 2021All the parts and pieces. Nice high quality tooling, a few decals, and PE parts.
3October 11, 2021Progress on the engine block. Painted with Vallejo Model Color. Flat Blue and Basalt Gray (1:2). The brass part is primed in white, painted in gold acrylic, and finished with a black acrylic pin wash.
4October 11, 2021PE part is superglued onto plastic and painted gray blue along with everything else. Then it dries and I lightly sand away the paint from the lettering and border to reveal the brass underneath.
5October 11, 2021Floor panel painted black, "rusted" with a light dry sponging of a mix of red and brown, and then finished with a subtle pin wash of dirt (a mix of red, brown, orange, and yellow)
6October 11, 2021Further progress and some gentle weathering. This is a tractor, not a showpiece!
7October 12, 2021Tractor walls added. Ooh they fit so perfectly!
