I use the Academy kit TARPS with this kit as VF-2 was one of the "TARPS squadron" and it's rather rare to see it under Tomcat kit 🙂

THX mates 🙂 Martin - I do not recommend this kit - the landing gear needs some scratch to look proper and air intakes are a huge mistake. I'd rather go with latest Academy kit 🙂

you are Right Piotr, the intakes are a big drawback but i found the new Academy front gear to be too long so actually despite missing a lot of detail I do not mind the Hobbyboss gear.

also I really like the hobbyboss panel lining - it looks good at this scale. new academy specifically is something i do not enjoy in this respect as there is a lot of accurate detail but it is too pronounced for 72.

Interestingly, I find myself returning to Hasegawa all the time after all those beautiful new moldings coming up🙂
but the windshield in the new academy kit is a huge plus and advantage even over GWH - I would like to buy them separately and use them in every future 72 tomcat build regardless of the kit🙂
